Ashley Bumatay

While Ashley’s practice at Cultiva Law primarily focuses on representing cannabis industry clients in litigation, she is well-versed in many areas of the law.

With a background in corporate litigation, industry compliance, corporate transactions, and intellectual property, Ashley is thrilled to meld these passions to cultivate effective legal solutions across all stages of corporate development, operation, and litigation. Ashley is a cannabis attorney with an extensive background in corporate litigation and business and partnership disputes. She is adept at providing creative and strategic solutions to fit her clients’ specific business and litigation needs.

Ashley was born and raised on California’s Central Coast. She graduated from the University of San Diego (magna cum laude) with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. Both degrees have served her well in the cannabis industry. Thereafter, she attended Hastings College of Law at the University of California where she graduated with an Intellectual Property Concentration. Additionally, she was Executive Production Editor of the Hastings Businesses Law Journal, a teaching assistant for Negotiations and Mediation, and worked for law school’s Startup Legal Garage. She is proud to be licensed to practice in Washington, Alaska, and Idaho.

When she is not in the office, Ashley can be found attending live shows of all sorts (theatre, ballet, concerts, comedy, etc.) as well as the many food and drink festivals Seattle has to offer. She can be reached directly at [email protected].
